The area consists of a variety of home styles. Primarily single family homes, with some duplexes, and condos. There has been a significant amount of redevelopment activity. Many of the old small home are being replaced by larger, more modern structures. This redevelopment, over time, creates an eclectic variety of homes.
The streets are mostly quiet and shaded and there are no sidewalks and very little through traffic The walking/biking trail that runs through First Landing State Park also goes right through the middle of these beach neighborhoods. You could walk or bike all the way to 64th Street at the oceanfront without worrying about cars.

Most of the residents in this area are passionate about their outdoor beach activities, so it’s common to see your neighbors boating, biking, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming and more.
The area is in close proximity to the boardwalk resort area and the Chick's beach bay area providing plenty of unique local restaurants and events to choose from.
Cape Story has a very active civic association that organizes several large neighborhood events including a Spring Fling, 4th of July parade and fireworks display over the bay, Fall Oyster Roast, and more.
